With Pride’s Crossing, I have a tremendous sense of responsibility, because we deal with life and death and suicide and cancer. And you know someone in the audience has just been diagnosed with cancer. You know someone’s mother just had a stroke, and that someone in the audience’s brother has just committed suicide. You know there are people out there who are suffering. So it prevents you from ever having one flip moment about what you do. Because you’re asking a lot of people to go to very painful places at times. Which means you have to do it with commitment and as truthfully as you can.

It’s not important that we do great things. What’s important is that we do things with great love.
